Sang-Gook Kim is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his B.S. degree from Seoul National University in 1978, M.S. from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 1980, and Ph.D. from MIT in 1985. He is a fellow of CIRP and ASME and an overseas member of the Korean National Academy of Engineering.
