Dr. Sang Kim

Biography

Sang Kim is a Professor of Operations Management and the Senior Associate Dean for Executive Programs at the Yale School of Management. His research focuses on supply chain management and service operations, with a particular interest in managing business process failures. He develops analytical models based on operations research and game theory to study practice-driven problems. His recent research interests include managing low-probability/high-impact disruptions in supply chains, sustainable operations, and social responsibility within supply chain management. Using a risk management framework, he has investigated application areas including aftermarkets in the aerospace and defense industry as well as environmental regulation and social enterprises in developing economies. Professor Kim's work has been published in leading management journals such as Management Science, Operations Research, and Marketing Science. He currently serves as an associate editor for Management Science and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management.
