Biography

Sangaralingam Ramesh holds a PhD in Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, awarded in 2009. He became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2013. Dr. Ramesh began his teaching career at SOAS, where he taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students. In 2010, he was appointed as a Teaching Fellow in Economics at University College London. Concurrently, he developed several online courses at the University of Oxford’s Department of Continuing Education, including 'Macroeconomics – Introduction', 'Microeconomics – An Introduction', and 'History of Economic Thought' for the Oxford University Summer School for Adults. Dr. Ramesh has also taught at King's College London and Université Paris-Dauphine. His academic publications include 'China’s Lessons for India' (Volumes 1 and 2), published by Palgrave Macmillan, and other works on the political economy of development and innovation.
