Sangita Shresthova is an associate research professor specializing in civic participation and popular culture, with an emphasis on the intersections of digital media and intercultural communication. She leads various projects investigating civic engagement in both digital and physical spaces. Her research exemplifies her expertise in designing and executing complex qualitative studies, notably a multi-year investigation of youth activism in the digital age, which culminated in her publication, 'Media Necessary: New Youth Activism.' Shresthova's works include 'Practicing Futures: Civic Imagination Action Handbook' and 'Civic Imagination: Case Studies of Creative Social Change,' which delve into the imaginative practices within popular culture that foster transformative social change.
