Biography

Sangkyun Cho is an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins University, specializing in the fields of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses on tissue biomaterials engineering and multi-omics, particularly in understanding and treating fibrosis, which is a major pathological driver of aging in solid organs. Throughout his career, Cho has received several prestigious awards including the NIH F32 Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2020, the ‘Paper of the Year Award’ from the Journal of Molecular Cellular Cardiology in 2021, the American Heart Association Career Development Award in 2023, and the NIH K99/R00 Pathway Independence Award in 2023.
