Dr. Sanjay Patel

Biography

Sanjay Patel is a part-time lecturer at Concordia University specializing in Accountancy. He is recognized for his hard work, time management, and critical thinking skills, alongside the ability to build and lead teams. His problem-solving abilities are complemented by strong communication and leadership skills, especially in high-pressure work environments. Sanjay began his career at Deloitte within their Assurance practice, where he worked on auditing public and private entities, developing competencies in financial reporting and technical accounting. He demonstrated success in leading audit and assurance teams through various engagements. He further honed his operational and strategic proficiency at Richter Consulting Inc., where he specialized in corporate restructuring, aiding equity sponsors and leveraged lenders in making major strategic and operational decisions. Currently, Sanjay works as the Head of Finance and Operations at Goalcast, where he oversees the finance department, leads company-wide operational projects and initiatives, and contributes significantly to the company's strategic direction. Sanjay is a licensed CPA auditor and teaches both undergraduate and CPA graduate programs at Concordia University.
