Biography

Sanjay Shakkottai holds the Cockrell Family Chair Engineering # 15 in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He received his PhD from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002. His academic career has been marked by significant achievements, including receiving the NSF CAREER Award in 2004 and being elected as an IEEE Fellow in 2014. His research interests lie at the intersection of algorithms, resource allocation, statistical learning theory, and their applications in wireless communication networks and online platforms. Shakkottai is actively involved in the Wireless Networking Communications Group (WNCG).
