Biography

Sanjeev Sood was appointed as Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry and Specialist Clinical Teacher at King’s College London in July 2011. He currently serves as the undergraduate lead in Paediatric Dentistry, lead for the Postgraduate Certificate in Paediatric Dentistry, and Exam Board Chair for the BDS Part 5. Dr. Sood graduated with a BDS from the University of Glasgow in 2000 and completed his General Professional Training in general practice, followed by a year as an SHO at Glasgow Dental Hospital School. He furthered his education with a successful completion of the MFDS exam at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Dr. Sood completed his specialist training in Paediatric Dentistry in 2006 at Dublin Dental School and Hospital, where he conducted his Master’s thesis on bonding teeth affected by Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation. He completed his consultant training at Edinburgh Dental Institute and received a Fellowship in Paediatric Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011. Additionally, Dr. Sood plays an active role in curriculum development and representation on the Paediatric Dentistry SAC, as well as involvement in examinations redevelopment for specialty examinations.
