Dr. Sanjeev Tankha

Biography

Sanjeev Tankha brings 28 years of experience in advanced building technology and design with a focus on facades and specialty structures. He has led the design and construction of facades for large aviation, sports, commercial, hospitality, and civic projects around the world, serving as a subject matter expert on high transparency facade systems and specialty structures. Sanjeev has lectured at both national and international conferences, sharing insights on facade technology and engineering practices in this ever-evolving field. At the University of Southern California's School of Architecture, he has been involved in developing and teaching courses related to facades and their industry practices, including embodied carbon studies for façade systems. As a partner at STARQ Inc., a boutique multidisciplinary architecture and design studio in Irvine, California, he is a licensed architect in the state of California. His current teaching focus includes the course '572 Advanced Building Skins: Designing High Performance Façades,' which aims to equip students with the fundamental technical skillset necessary for the design and delivery of high-performance facade systems.
