Biography

Sankalp Chaturvedi is a Professor of Organisational Behavior and Leadership at Imperial College Business School. Currently, he serves as the Associate Dean for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and is the co-director of the Gandhi Centre for Inclusive Innovation. He holds a Ph.D. from the NUS Business School at the National University of Singapore and has a background in Human Resource Development Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and Engineering from RAU, Udaipur. His research focuses on Leadership, Mindfulness, and collaboration mechanisms within teams, exploring conditions that enable effective leadership across different contexts. He is particularly interested in the debates surrounding “nature vs. nurture” in leadership behaviors and employs behavioral genetics to investigate the biological basis of behavior. Additionally, he studies how mindfulness influences leadership and its spillover effects on follower stress, well-being, and performance. Sankalp is an active participant and reviewer at international conferences such as the Academy of Management and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. His work has been published in several prestigious journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and the Strategic Management Journal, among others.
