Biography

Santanu S. Dey is a Professor at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He completed his Ph.D. in a related field and has previously served as a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Operations Research and Econometrics (CORE) at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. His research interests include non-convex optimization, particularly mixed integer linear and nonlinear programming, with applications in electrical power engineering, process engineering, civil engineering, logistics, and statistics. Dey has held various leadership roles within the INFORMS community, including serving as vice chair of the Integer Programming INFORMS Optimization Society from 2011 to 2013 and participating in program committees for Integer Programming and Combinatorial Optimization. He is also active on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals, contributing as an associate editor for multiple publications.
