Biography

Mr. Saqr Khalil Saeed Thabet is currently a PhD student in Computer Science at Macquarie University in Australia. He has worked under the supervision of Dr. Yipeng Zhou and Distinguished Professor Michael Sheng as a member of the Intelligent Computing Lab. Before joining Macquarie, he served as a research assistant at the Advanced Visual Communications Computing lab at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China from 2016 to 2022. Saqr holds both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from UESTC and the University of Aden, respectively, having completed his Master of Engineering in Electronic Science Technology and Bachelor of Science in Electronics Communication Engineering. His current research interests include Federated Learning, Machine Learning and Deep Learning, wireless communication, data processing, resource allocation, and video coding.
