Biography

Sara Bögels is an Assistant Professor at Radboud University in the Centre for Language Studies. Her work primarily focuses on interactive language use and the factors affecting communicative coordination. Bögels investigates how communicative partners manage turn-taking and mutual understanding in conversations. This includes research on the impact of digital communication mediums, such as online meetings and chats, on these dynamics. She is also part of the Healthy Data Program, where she applies her expertise in health communication, particularly in doctor-patient interactions. With a background in communication, interaction, and cognitive processes, she uses techniques such as EEG and fMRI to study these topics comprehensively.
