Dr. Sara Hajmohammad

Biography

Sara Hajmohammad is an Associate Professor at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. She holds a B.Sc. from Sharif University of Technology, an M.A. from Shahid Beheshti University, and a Ph.D. from Western University's Ivey Business School. Prior to joining Telfer in July 2019, she was a Professor of Supply Chain Management at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. With over eight years of professional experience in engineering quality management within the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, Sara's primary research focuses on sustainable supply chain management and the strategies firms implement related to environmental and social issues. Her research encompasses intra-firm operational practices and inter-firm risk strategies, particularly in the context of increasing climate-related extreme weather events. Additionally, she aims to apply her operations management expertise to the non-profit sector, focusing on arts organizations and charities. Her empirical research is grounded in theory and employs methodologies like surveys and experiments. Sara's work has been published in esteemed journals including the International Journal of Operations & Production Management and the Journal of Business Ethics, and she has been recognized with various prestigious awards at both national and international conferences.
