Dr. Sara Page

Biography

Sara Beth Page is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Duke University, where she serves as a primary care provider focused on the health of children from birth to adolescence. With a solid educational background, she completed her residency in Pediatrics at Duke University from 1999 to 2002 and earned her M.D. from Loyola University in Chicago. Her academic interests lie in improving access to healthcare, enhancing medical student education, and providing pediatric urgent care. She is particularly passionate about issues surrounding gun safety among children. Dr. Page has contributed to significant research in her field, including publications that examine the relationship between physical activity, income, race/ethnicity, and gender in adolescents and young adults, as demonstrated in her work featured in JAMA Pediatrics. In her career, she has held various positions within the Department of Pediatrics and has previously served as a clinical associate in both the Pediatrics department and the Department of Surgery.
