Biography

Sara C. Pryor is an atmospheric scientist who uses a combination of field measurements and numerical tools to improve understanding of the climate system. She completed her PhD at the University of East Anglia in the UK and has held positions at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and the Desert Research Institute. After her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia, she joined Cornell University and has held a rank of Provost's Professor at Indiana University. Pryor has courtesy appointments at Aarhus University in Denmark and the Pervasive Technology Institute at Indiana University. Her research focuses on challenges in climate science and energy science, employing a wide range of big data analytics and experimental data in high-resolution atmospheric simulations.
