Biography

Sara Wang joined Adam Smith Business School in September 2024 as a lecturer in Finance. Previously, she held an academic position at Bayes Business School, formerly known as Cass Business School. Sara obtained her MSc in Money, Banking, and Finance from Lancaster University and her PhD in Finance from the University of Bristol. She holds a Fellowship certificate from the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in learning and teaching. Her main research interests lie in banking, particularly in the areas of bank lending, bank regulation, and climate risks. As a member of the Finance research cluster, Sara has developed expertise in bank capital, lending, empirical banking, and climate risk. Her academic teaching experience began during her PhD and has expanded over the years, during which she has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Additionally, Sara continues to emphasize the importance of effective teaching in her academic career.
