Biography

Sarada is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and the Faculty Director of the Business Creation Capstone. Her research primarily focuses on economics, entrepreneurship, and innovation, with her work published in leading journals such as the Review of Economics and Statistics and the Journal of Public Economics. Sarada has received a commercialization grant from the National Science Foundation and her research on inventor demographics has been cited in a report by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office that influenced the passage of the SUCCESS Act in 2019. She has presented her research at various prestigious institutions and conferences, including the Federal Reserve Bank and the National Bureau of Economic Research. Before joining UCLA, she served as an Assistant Professor of Management Economics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and held positions as a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Board and a postdoctoral fellow at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and holds a B.S. in Mathematical Economics and Statistics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
