Professor Dr. Sarah Ackroyd

Biography

Sarah Ackroyd is an Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, particularly focusing on gynecologic oncology. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester in Biochemistry and Statistics, earning her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in May 2011. Following her undergraduate studies, she obtained a Master of Public Health in Health Services Administration from the University at Buffalo in May 2012. Dr. Ackroyd continued her medical education, receiving her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Rochester in May 2016. She subsequently completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Temple University Hospital in June 2020 and completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Chicago in June 2023. Her research interests include various aspects of female genital neoplasms, including endometrial and ovarian neoplasms, as well as innovative approaches to managing analgesia during hysterectomy procedures. She is actively involved in academic discussions and has published several works in her field, contributing significantly to both clinical practices and patient care.
