Sarah Boston graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1996 and completed a rotating internship at the University of Guelph the following year. She returned to Western Canada for three years of general practice before going back to the University of Guelph for a residency and Doctor of Veterinary Science in small animal surgery. She became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2004 and completed a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology in 2005. After spending five years as faculty at the University of Guelph, she moved to the University of Florida where she served as an Associate Professor of Surgical Oncology. In February 2018, she joined the VCA family and started the Surgical Oncology Service at 404 Veterinary Emergency & Referral in Newmarket. Beyond her academic roles, she has authored numerous journal articles and textbook chapters in surgical oncology and published a book titled 'Lucky Dog: Veterinarian Saved Life' in 2014.
