Dr. Sarah Bush

Biography

Sarah Bush is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research examines how international actors attempt to aid democracy, promote women’s representation, and influence elections globally. She has a recent interest in the politics of climate change. Bush is the author of several books, including 'Taming Democracy Assistance: Democracy Promotion Confront Dictators' (Cambridge University Press, 2015) and 'Monitors Meddlers: Foreign Actors Influence Local Trust in Elections' (Cambridge University Press, 2022). Her work has been published in prestigious journals such as the American Political Science Review and International Organization, and has been featured in outlets like The Economist and The Washington Post. Bush received her Ph.D. from Princeton University.
