Dr. Sarah Collins

Biography

Sarah Collins, MD, is a board-certified surgeon specializing in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. Her clinical practice focuses on diagnosing and treating pelvic floor disorders including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, and complex urogenital issues. Dr. Collins has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by women with these disorders, leading her to advocate for their healthcare experiences and improve the management of surgical problems with minimally invasive techniques. She is also dedicated to creating shared decision-making tools for patients. As a funded researcher, Collins engages in exploring efficient care models and has leadership roles in various national and international professional organizations. In addition, she is passionate about medical education, mentoring the next generation of gynecologic surgeons through training programs for medical students, residents, and fellows. Dr. Collins participates in annual surgical missions to Rwanda, where she teaches local surgeons techniques for treating obstetric injuries and other complex conditions.
