Dr. Sarah Coyne

Biography

Sarah Coyne is a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a partner in Weil’s Litigation Department, where she is a member of the firm’s global White-Collar Defense and Regulatory Investigations practice. She has extensive experience handling a wide range of civil and criminal white-collar matters, particularly in internal investigations with a focus on financial institutions. Previously, Ms. Coyne served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, where she was the Chief of the Business Securities Fraud Section. She has been recognized as a 'Future Star' in Benchmark Litigation. With 14 years of experience as a federal prosecutor in New Jersey before her role in New York, she has handled numerous high-profile cases, including those involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and securities investment fraud. Ms. Coyne has tried 14 jury trials and argued seven successful appeals in the Second Circuit. Following her graduation from law school, she clerked for Hon. Maryanne Trump Barry at the District Court level of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
