Biography

Sarah Ferguson is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto and serves as the Vice Chair for Research. She is a Gynecologic Oncologist at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Dr. Ferguson obtained her medical degree from Queen’s University in 1997 and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto in 2002. She further pursued a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Ferguson holds the position of Director of the Research Division in Gynecologic Oncology at the University Health Network and is the Ontario Gynecologic Cancers Lead for Cancer Care Ontario. Her clinical research focuses on cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, Lynch Syndrome, and patient-reported outcomes. Dr. Ferguson's contributions to these areas have significantly advanced the understanding and treatment of gynecological cancers, particularly the hereditary cancer syndromes associated with them.
