Biography

Sarah Frodsham is a co-director of the Graduate School and chair of ethics at the Department for Continuing Education at the University of Oxford. She facilitates the Graduate School’s weekly training programme and directs several eight-week accredited short courses. As a researcher, Sarah supervises MA, EdD, and PhD students at Oxford Brookes University, focusing on postgraduate research methodologies and methods. Her PhD, obtained in January 2018, investigates the development of creativity in primary school science education, titled 'Developing Creativity in Primary Science Teaching: What Does It Look Like and How Can Classroom Interactions Augment This Process?'. Sarah has spent a decade as a structural biologist and holds an MSc from Birkbeck College, London, and a BSc from Oxford Brookes University. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and chapters in academic books and presented her research at national and international conferences. Her ongoing research includes various projects related to primary science education and innovative pedagogy, as well as collaborations with multiple professional organizations in science education.
