Dr. Sarah Hogarth

Biography

Sarah P. Hogarth is a Visiting Clinical Lecturer at Yale Law School, where she co-directs the Supreme Court Advocacy Clinic. She serves as a partner at McDermott & Emery LLP, focusing on the firm's Supreme Court Appellate Practice. In her role, Hogarth briefs and argues complex appeals and critical motions, handling cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, federal court appeals, and state appellate courts. Her experience spans a variety of legal areas including federal practice jurisdiction, constitutional law, preemption, administrative law, the False Claims Act, intellectual property, antitrust issues, the Federal Arbitration Act, insurance, and taxation. Prior to her current position, Hogarth earned her Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School in 2015 and her Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University in 2012.
