Dr. Sarah Joelson

Biography

Sarah Joelson, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist at Brown University, where she works with Hasbro Children’s integrated primary care outpatient services. She sees patients at various clinics including the Medicine Pediatrics Primary Care Clinic, PACE Clinic, and the Child Adolescent Outpatient Clinic. Dr. Joelson is passionate about increasing access to care for underserved youth and their families. Her clinical focus includes family therapy, pediatric psychology, gender-affirming care, and mood/anxiety disorders. She earned her Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from the Palo Alto University–Stanford PsyD Consortium, California. Dr. Joelson completed her internship and residency training at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center/Weill Cornell Medicine in the South Bronx, New York, specializing in child and adolescent care, crisis intervention, and inpatient services. She also completed a fellowship at Brown University in providing care through the Consult/Liaison Service and the Hasbro Partial Hospitalization Program outpatient services.
