Biography

Sarah Kimball, MD, is an associate professor at the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine at Boston University, specializing in General Internal Medicine. She is a board-certified internist with extensive training, having completed her medical education at Harvard Medical School and her residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham Women’s Hospital. Dr. Kimball joined the faculty in 2014 and has a strong commitment to providing compassionate care that addresses the unique barriers faced by immigrant and refugee populations. Currently, she serves as the Director of the Immigrant & Refugee Health Center at Boston Medical Center, which provides comprehensive medical services and responds to the healthcare needs of immigrants holistically. Additionally, she is passionate about teaching social justice advocacy skills and serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health. Dr. Kimball is also actively involved in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through her leadership in the General Internal Medicine Antiracism Working Group at Boston University. She has contributed significantly to health services research and works toward implementing strategies that confront systemic racism in the healthcare system.
