Biography

Sarah completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Staffordshire University in 1998, subsequently working with children before qualifying as a play worker. She returned to academia to earn her MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Southampton in 2002. Sarah undertook stage 2 training on the university route, completing her part-time PhD in Health Psychology Research Professional Practice at the same institution, graduating in 2007. During her time in graduate studies, she worked part-time as a teaching and research assistant. Sarah has continued her career at the University of Southampton in various post-doctoral positions and became a Lecturer in Psychology in 2012, progressing to Associate Professor in 2016. Her accolades include the Vice Chancellor's Teaching Award for Supporting Student Employability in 2014 and multiple awards for Pastoral Support from SUSU Faculty in 2016 and 2021.
