Biography

Sarah Levy is an epileptologist at NYU Langone Health, specializing in the management of epilepsy. With an MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, she completed her neurology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital and a fellowship in Epilepsy at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Levy is dedicated to helping adults with seizures, emphasizing a holistic understanding of each patient's unique needs and aspirations. She is particularly interested in the intersection of epilepsy and psychology, recognizing the heightened rates of anxiety and depression in patients with recurrent seizures. Dr. Levy also treats non-epileptic seizure disorders, which can be equally challenging. At NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn, she leads a multidisciplinary epilepsy monitoring unit interpreting EEG studies for critical care patients and participates as a preceptor for neurology residents, fostering professional growth and learning. Dr. Levy holds board certifications from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, specializing in both Epilepsy and Neurology.
