Biography

Sarah joined the English Department at King's College London as a Senior Lecturer in Early Modern English Literature in September 2013. Prior to this role, she was an AHRC post-doctoral researcher at King's College London, focusing on the Shakespeare400 quatercentenary project. She completed her doctoral thesis in 2012 and was previously a Teaching Fellow in Early Modern Literature at University College Dublin. Sarah has taught as a visiting lecturer at Shakespeare's Globe, Roehampton University, and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She completed her BA in English Literature and Language at the University of Leeds and her MA in Early Modern Literature at King's College London, where she also completed her PhD with funding from an AHRC grant. Her research interests include Early Modern drama, time and temporality in literature, family politics, and the cultural intersections of gender in the early modern period. Sarah has co-edited a collection of essays titled 'Family Politics in Early Modern Literature' and authored the monograph 'Time and Gender on the Shakespearean Stage'. She currently co-directs a research network called 'Grasping Kairos' and is a member of the Performance@King's network, contributing to various academic and public engagement initiatives in the field of Shakespeare and early modern studies.
