Sarah Ann Long is an Associate Professor of Musicology at Michigan State University’s College of Music. Her research focuses on liturgy during the late medieval and early modern periods in northern France and the Low Countries from 1300 to 1600. Long participates in several international research initiatives, including the Single Interface Music Score Searching and Analysis Project (SIMSSA). She serves as the President of the International Medieval Society and as a co-general editor for the Journal of the Alamire Foundation. In addition to her research, Dr. Long teaches a wide range of historical and ethnomusicological subjects, contributing significantly to the academic community through numerous guest lectures and courses.
