Biography

Sarah Lubik is a Director at the Chang Institute and a Senior Lecturer in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Simon Fraser University (SFU). She serves as the Academic Executive Director at the Charles Chang Institute for Entrepreneurship and is the National Academic Director for the invention Innovation (i2) program. Recognized as one of Canada's ten Innovation Leaders in 2016, she has played a key role in advancing Canada's Inclusive Innovation Agenda and driving national consultations on digital data transformation. Dr. Lubik has published extensively in prestigious journals focusing on technology management and innovation, including R&D Management and Technovation. Her research primarily investigates university-based entrepreneurship, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches and the commercialization of advanced technologies. She has a strong background in business coaching and project management, having coordinated numerous international projects in support of startup firms and innovation. A co-founder of Lungfish Dive Systems, she has received accolades such as the TD Canada Trust Distinguished Teaching Award and BC Business's Top 40 Under 40.
