Biography

Sarah Mann is a Glasgow Engineering Futures Fellow in Electronic and Nanoscale Engineering at the University of Glasgow. She began her career as a Research Assistant at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Science from 2014 to 2016, where she worked in the Nanomaterials Biology group. Sarah completed her BSc (Honours) in Chemistry/Biochemistry Molecular Biology at the University of Melbourne in 2013, followed by a PhD in Physics at the University of Warwick in 2021, specializing in the Solid-state NMR group. After her PhD, she served as a Research Associate in the Quantum Optospintronics group at the University of Glasgow from 2023 to 2025. Her research interests center on the development of next-generation molecular quantum sensors, focusing on chemically tuneable systems that leverage spin-based quantum phenomena for highly sensitive detection of physical quantities, including magnetic fields.
