Biography

Passionate musician (violin, voice, guitar), Sarah Milis holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from Université du Québec à Montréal (2007) and a Master's degree in a related discipline from Concordia University (2012). She is a certified member of the Canadian Association of Music Therapists since 2008 and became a Fellow of the Association for Music Imagery (FAMI) in 2017. Sarah has worked as a music therapist with a variety of clienteles, including children with pervasive developmental disorders, learning disabilities, behavioral disabilities, and multi-handicapped adolescents. Her current practice evolves around the adult population, particularly in the domains of mental health, palliative care, and geriatrics. Since September 2014, she has been a part-time faculty member at Concordia University, teaching Music Therapy. Sarah is also an active speaker, offering a variety of conferences and workshops aimed at individuals seeking to use music to enhance well-being, including professionals such as teachers and early childhood workers.
