Biography

Sarah Salih is a Reader in English at King's College London. She studied for her BA in English Related Literature and an MA in Women in the Late Medieval World at the University of York, followed by a PhD on the topic of 'Virginity in Medieval English Texts and Practices' from the University of East Anglia. Joining King's College London in 2007, she engages in researching late medieval English literature and culture, with a keen interest in gender, sexuality, and devotional practices. Sarah has supervised or co-supervised 16 completed PhDs and currently co-supervises a further seven. Her teaching includes various aspects of late medieval literature and performance. Additionally, she has made public appearances discussing medieval women writers and has curated exhibitions at KCL. Her notable publications include 'Imagining Pagan Late Medieval England' and various peer-reviewed articles on topics related to medieval literary culture and the intersections of gender, sex, and identity.
