Biography

Sarah Wolfolds is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Undergraduate Studies at the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, part of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. She joined Cornell in 2016 after receiving her Doctorate in Strategy from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics from Swarthmore College. Prior to her academic career, Wolfolds worked at the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank and the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Her research focuses on the interaction between for-profit and nonprofit organizations within the same industries, specifically how nonprofits strive to differentiate themselves amid increased competition from other nonprofits and for-profit entities. Her recent work also addresses issues of financial exclusion in the United States.
