Biography

Sarah Yakimowski is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at Queen's University, specializing in evolutionary ecology. Her research focuses on plant evolution, particularly how environmental stress influences genetic factors that allow species to expand their geographic range and how certain populations evolve adaptations in response to environmental changes. She employs experimental selection methods to study limits on evolution in plants under both natural and anthropogenically-constructed environments.
