Biography

Sarah Yeung is a PhD candidate in English Literary Studies at the University of Western Australia. Her research examines literary representations through a haunting mode, focusing on aesthetic ethical engagement and historical memory. Sarah co-edited 'Zou Mat Je (做乜嘢)', a collection of writing and visual artwork from the Cantonese diaspora, and contributed to the independent poetry collection 'Hello Keanu!', alongside Emily Sun. She serves as the Administrative Editor for 'Westerly Magazine'. Sarah has tutored various units at UWA, including the FABLE Teaching Fellowship units: ENGL2401 'Netflicks: Cinema Long-form Television', ENGL2215 'Modernism Avant-Garde', and others such as ENGL1020 'Text Tradition', ENGL2001 'Gothic Literature', and ENGL3040 'Modernism Avant-Garde'. Additionally, she has coordinated ENGL1040 'World Literatures' and ARTS1000 'Academic Writing' at the University of Notre Dame Australia (Fremantle Campus), and presented guest lectures on screen studies, Australian literature, cinema, graphic narratives, and speculative fiction.
