Biography

Saraschandra Vallabhajosyula is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, specializing in Interventional Critical Care Cardiology. He serves as the Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at both Rhode Island Hospital and Miriam Hospital, as well as being a prominent figure within the Brown University Health Cardiovascular Institute. Dr. Vallabhajosyula completed his medical education at Manipal University in India and underwent extensive training in various prestigious institutions, including the Mayo Clinic and Emory University. He is a quintuple board-certified physician with expertise in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography, and Internal Medicine. His academic interests lie in implementation science and outcomes research specifically related to cardiovascular emergencies, including cardiogenic shock and acute myocardial infarction. An active member of several professional organizations, he has published over 350 peer-reviewed articles and made significant contributions to clinical guidelines and consensus statements on critical care cardiology. He is dedicated to teaching and has mentored numerous students and trainees in his field.
