Sarit Kattan Gribetz is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies and Jewish Studies at Yale University, where she also serves as the Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Religious Studies and the Program in Jewish Studies. Her research and teaching interests include ancient Judaism, rabbinic literature, the study of time, the history of Jerusalem, interreligious polemics, and gender and sexuality. She is the author of the book 'Time Difference in Rabbinic Judaism' (Princeton University Press, 2020), which received the National Jewish Book Award and the Jordan Schnitzer Book Award from the Association for Jewish Studies. She is currently working on two book projects: 'Queen Jerusalem: Helena of Adiabene and the Malleability of Memory' (forthcoming from Princeton University Press) and 'Jerusalem: A Feminist History' (under contract with Princeton University Press). Additionally, she has edited volumes such as 'Time: A Multidisciplinary Introduction' (2023), 'Genesis Rabbah: Text and Context' (2016), and 'Jewish-Christian Cosmogony in Late Antiquity' (2013). Sarit has published numerous articles and has previously taught for a decade at Fordham University, where she was an Associate Professor in the Theology Department and Co-Director of the Fordham Center for Jewish Studies.
