Sascha Feldmann is a Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, where he leads the Feldmann Lab focused on ultrafast magneto-chiroptical spectroscopy and materials chemistry. His research aims to transform the ways energy is produced and consumed by exploring symmetry breaking concepts in novel soft semiconductors and nanomaterials that can control charge, spin, and light. His work seeks to uncover design rules that enable the generation of cheap, efficient, and flexible solar cells as well as ultra-bright displays, contributing to new applications in quantum information technology. Feldmann has also held positions at Harvard University as an Independent Research Group Leader and Rowland Fellow, and was a recipient of the EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship at Cambridge University. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Cambridge and both a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry from Heidelberg University, Germany.
