Biography

Sascha James-Conterelli is the Director of the Nurse-Midwifery Program at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing and a Clinical Associate Professor. With a rich background spanning public and private sectors, she has dedicated her career to political advocacy and educational initiatives aimed at enhancing perinatal care. In 2014, she transitioned to a full-time academic role while continuing her clinical practice. Globally, she has supported midwives in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Academically, she holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from New York University and has received numerous accolades, including being named a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and the New York Academy of Medicine.
