Biography

Sasha Costanza-Chock is a researcher and designer focusing on community-led processes that build shared power, dismantle matrix domination, and advance ecological survival. A nonbinary trans femme, she is known for her work on networked social movements, transformative media organizing, and design justice. Currently, Sasha is the Head of Research & Sensemaking at OneProject.org and a Faculty Associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Design Justice Network and a published author of numerous journal articles, book chapters, and research publications. Her widely-read book, 'Design Justice: Community-Led Practices Build Worlds,' was published by MIT Press. Sasha frequently engages in dialogues about technology's role in society, advocating for equitable design practices and justice in technological systems.
