Dr. Sasha Zivkovic

Biography

Sasha Zivkovic, MD, PhD, is a neurologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of a range of neuromuscular disorders, including hereditary sensory motor neuropathies, amyloid neuropathies, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, and POEMS Syndrome. As a professor at the Yale School of Medicine, he serves as the academic chief of neuromuscular medicine and clinical director of the Yale CMTA Center of Excellence for adults. His work aims to advance the understanding and management of complex neuromuscular conditions, particularly focusing on their genetic and immunological components. Dr. Zivkovic completed his medical education at the University of Zagreb in Croatia and has contributed significantly to the field through numerous publications and research efforts. His clinical expertise integrates both the scientific investigation and practical treatment of these often challenging disorders, helping to improve patient outcomes and inform new therapeutic strategies.
