Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Sathish Ramakrishnan. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Sathish Ramakrishnan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of fusion proteins that mediate a wide range of cellular processes including hormone and neurotransmitter release, cell growth, cytokinesis, and cancer signaling and progression. His laboratory quantitatively dissects the roles of SNAREs and other regulators under both normal and diseased conditions using engineered suspended lipid bilayer platforms combined with single-molecule imaging methods. His work aims to clarify the key players in exocytosis, which drives therapeutic discovery and elucidates critical steps in signaling pathways that can block disease progression.
