Biography

Prof. Satish Kumar Thittamaranahalli leads the Collaboratory for Algorithmic Techniques at the Information Sciences Institute of the University of Southern California. He is a faculty member in USC's Department of Computer Science, Department of Physics and Astronomy, and the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. Prof. Kumar's extensive published work spans various topics, including Constraint Reasoning, Planning and Scheduling, Probabilistic Reasoning, and Machine Learning, among others. He has served on program committees for international conferences and has received several Paper Awards for his contributions to the field. Prof. Kumar obtained his PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University in March 2005. His previous experiences include roles as a Visiting Student at NASA Ames Research Center, Postdoctoral Research Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, and Research Scientist at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition. He has also held a position as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of West Florida, as well as Senior Research Development Scientist at Mission Critical Technologies.
