Biography

Satyandra K. Gupta holds the Smith International Professorship in the Aerospace Mechanical Engineering Department and the Department of Computer Science at the University of Southern California's Viterbi School of Engineering. He is the founding director of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing at the university. Prior to his current role, he was a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Institute for Systems Research at the University of Maryland, where he established the Maryland Robotics Center and the Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory.
