Dr. Satyasaran Changdar

Biography

Satyasaran Changdar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science at the University of Copenhagen, focusing on AI and machine learning modeling. His research emphasizes Scientific Machine Learning, particularly in sustainable food process modeling and new food formulations. He is supervised by Prof. Serafim Bakalis and has collaborated with Arla Foods. Prior to his current position, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Applied Machine Learning for Plant Physiology, jointly supervised by Prof. Erik Bjørnager Dam and Prof. Kristian Thorup-Kristensen. He completed his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at the University of Calcutta, India, in 2019, and holds an M.Tech. in Computer Applications from IIT Delhi and a Master’s in Mathematics from IIT Bombay. His research interests include Active Learning, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Physics-Informed Neural Networks, and data-driven scientific computing, with applications in agriculture and crop science, specifically in projects such as RadiMax and RadiBooster.
