Dr. Saul Frenkiel

Biography

Saul Frenkiel is the Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at McGill University. He has held prominent positions including President of the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and Associate Editor for the Journal of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Frenkiel has served as a Fellowship Examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and has represented Canada at the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He is an acclaimed visiting professor, delivering numerous lectures at national and international societies, and is noted for his role as course director for workshops on endoscopic sinus surgery. He has been recognized as a Millennium Lecturer by the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. The author of 150 publications, including textbook chapters and peer-reviewed articles, Frenkiel has co-authored the Canadian National Guidelines for Rhinitis and Sinusitis. His research interests focus on molecular biology related to chronic sinusitis, mucociliary physiology, and nasal airflow testing, and he is a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Translational Research Centre at McGill University.
